Air Pollution - Suhail Siraj
The atmosphere consists of gases such as Oxygen 20.95 percent, Nitrogen 78.08 percent, Carbon dioxide .04 percent and Argon .96 percent.
Oxygen is important for the existence of human beings, animals and plants. When the percentage of Oxygen is reduced in the air and other gases exceeds, we call it pollution of air.
The cause for air pollution are the pollutants emitted through human activities like burning fossils, garbage, vehicle exhaust fumes and emission from agricultural farms and industrial factories and wars.
Indoor air pollution is caused by using electrical devices. For example; use of refrigerator,
air conditioner, vehicle etc..
Open burning of garbage waste and burning garden pruned branches, Microbial decaying process also contributes to air pollution.
Trees and plants inhale Carbon dioxide during the day time. But at night they exhale Oxygen. That is why we should not cut down trees, instead grow more trees.
Developing countries do researches on chemicals, drugs, nuclear weapons and bombshells. When any mishap fuses, either while testing or using, enormous destruction will cause for the people and the country.
India has a bitter experience of poisonous gas leek tragedy. At Bhopal they lost 15 thousands of lives. Japan too still suffers the effects of bombs dropped in Naga Saki. Today Israel, Palestine, Ukraine, Russia wars too contributes to air pollution.
The present generation should try to stop air pollution, by any means to save the people from this grave disaster.
